THE PROCESS / 01

Someone in your corner, before the paperwork.

Prices cover everyday passenger vehicles in the core SF Peninsula service area. Longer travel, oversized, specialty or unusually complex vehicles are quoted before booking. Seller access is required. Electronic coverage varies by vehicle.

WHY THE SCAN MATTERS / 03

Some problems don’t turn on a dashboard light.

A basic scanner focuses on engine-related OBD-II information. Premium can read additional available modules, such as ABS, airbag, transmission and body systems, depending on the vehicle. We document what the scanner actually showed and explain relevant findings in plain language.

A scan is a snapshot. A code does not prove a failed component, and no codes do not guarantee a fault-free car. We do not erase codes or reset readiness monitors.

GOOD TO KNOW / 05

Common questions

Is this a shop inspection?

No. It is an on-site visual and functional inspection. We do not lift or disassemble the car, perform repairs, or guarantee future condition. We will note when deeper diagnosis is needed.

What if a scan or road test is not possible?

We document the limitation in your report. Seller restrictions, vehicle condition and compatibility affect what can be checked.

What about hybrids and EVs?

We document visible condition, accessible scan results and road-test behavior where applicable. We do not open or electrically test high-voltage parts or certify traction-battery health.

Do I need to be there?

No, as long as the seller permits access. We send you the report with photos after the inspection.
